Today, Ben lead his brother to the pantry to eat as many jumbo marshmallows as they could muster while I was getting dressed. I caught Ben behind the dining room table stuffing them in, while Harrison just settled down on the pantry floor helping himself. It was quite a sight as they tried to talk their way out of it, blaming each other of course, with their mouths full of marshmallows. My own little Adam and Eve.

Today I let Harrison ride in the actual cart part of the grocery cart instead of the baby seat for the first time. He was ecstatic. He sat at the end of the cart kind of catcher-style with his hands perched on the tail end while he joyfully expressed, "Woohoo! I'm speed!" over and over while I shopped (thank you Disney). It was pretty entertaining for the first five minutes. I should have told him to stand up with his arms out and shout, "I'm the King of the World!" Nah- that's been overdone. Regardless, it was a nice change from a tantrum.

It's fun to stay at the....

Harrison picks up one-liners very easily, much to our entertainment (and I am sure to my public embarrassment in one form or the other someday soon). After just a short weekend with the grandparents, he came home delivering a spot-on impression of his Papa. This provided our family with hours of enjoyment, so of course I have to share what we caught on tape. Enjoy! (Note: We usually do not ask our children to hit themselves (or others), but again this is for the craft of impressionism and I promise you is true to Papa-form).


Never been so proud,

We've had to spend some time at the furniture store lately- more time then my children would prefer. This last time they just assumed the position. Sorry, it's kind of a poor shot, but I am loving the crossed arms and utter lack of interest. Their father would be proud, and I at least I had five minutes of peace.

Future Stage Mom,

It was just a normal getaway grocery trip to Target, and I was happily checking things off my little list, when what to my wondering eyes should appear???.... well, holiday flavored teas in too cute packaging of course. I know it's bad that I get all excited about tea, but I could so clearly picture myself enjoying one of these in my cozy chair all wrapped up in my warmer than warm Sam's Club fluffy blanket and some Harry Connick Jr. Christmas tunes floating around in the background. So before I know it I have three boxes of tea in my cart. I'm such a sucker for holiday flavored anything. Is it just me? Pumpkin spice coffee creamer- yes please! Egg Nog pancake mix- sure, why not? Peppermint ice cream, uh... yeah! I fall for it every time, and what's worse is that I am never disappointed. So when I see some teas donning names like "Gingerbread Spice", "Sugar Cookie Sleigh Ride" and "Candy Cane Lane"- I'm done.  Okay, well now I have a hankering for some tea sans the chair, blanket, and music as Monday Night Football is on and the hubs has dibs on the first two. Oh well, tea has a great shelf life right? Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!
